What Would We See?

If our eyes became so clear -
in the spirit we could see -

If I could look at you and -
you looked back at me.

Would I see your vision clouded
so that you now were blind -

and though so many tried to lead -
the way, you could not find.

Would I see your ears so stopped -
with doubts you could not hear?

When I tried to speak, my words unheard -
would I sadly shed a tear?

Would I see your hands tied tightly
and drawn up close to you -

Unable to reach out and help -
not even just a few?

Would I see your legs bound knee to foot -
so that you could not go -

When someone begged for help -
you're not able -- don't they know?

Would I see your mouth shut up so tight -
the truth could not get out -

Would I look at you and wonder -
what brought this all about?

Would I realize as I looked on -
there was no one to see -

The vision - that I saw -
was just reflected back from me?
