Are We Wimps or Warriors?

Do you see yourself as God sees you?

If we are true followers of Jesus Christ, we are filled with His spirit and should be walking in power and authority!   We have been transformed from the wimps we were - subjected to every form of attack of the enemy allowing him to convince us that we were defeated - to Spirit Filled soldiers in the army of our God!

When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt He promised them a new land.  It was already theirs.  All they had to do was to go in and take possession of it.  Sometimes when we are confronted with difficulties which stand in the way of our promise - we decide - "this must not be God".  Why do we assume if the possession of the promise demands effort on our part that it must be "me" and not God?  He has given us every promise we could ever need.  Some require us to step out and take what is already ours.   Sometimes we have to stand believing - no matter what!

See yourself as that mighty warrior He has created you to be.  See yourself walking in the power and the authority that He has given to you!

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.  (Romans 13:12 )

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. (2 Cor. 10:4 NIV)

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Tim. 6:12 )

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? [2] When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. [3] Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. (Psalm 27:1-3 )

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. (2 Tim. 2:4 )

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephes. 6:13)

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4 )

They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.
(Rev. 12:11 )
