I must trust - because if I do not I am consumed by worry and fear. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty[Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I (confidently) trust! (Ps. 91:1-2) ~~ I must trust because I can not see the way ahead of me - I am traveling 'blind' - going down a road as in a heavy fog. I can not tell what will happen next week, or tomorrow or even in the next 10 minutes. I, the Lord, will instruct you and teach you
in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. ~~ I must trust because I do not have the answer - I can assume or guess - I can say 'what if' - I can wonder. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and
lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall
direct thy paths. ~~ I must trust because I can not know another person's thoughts and intentions fully. I may be hurt, or hurt another, I may be misunderstood, or misunderstand someone else. In God have I put my trust, and confident reliance; I will not be afraid; what can man do to me? (Ps. 56:11) ~~ I must trust because there will be times of failure, disappointment, sorrow, pain. He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. (Ps.:91:4) As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you... (Isa.66:13a) When the righteous cry for help, the Lord
hears, and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles. The Lord is close
to those who are of a broken heart, and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and
are humbly and thoroughly penitent. Many evils confront the [consistently]
righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all.... Trust is believing with a certainty that God is in control of every area of my life - that I can confidently release my burdens and my cares to Him and expect that He will work His perfect will in each situation. Trust is freedom from worry and the absence of fear. Trust is placing my hand in Father's hand and walking with Him as He leads the way. Trust is never questioning God's desire to shape every aspect of our lives to our benefit - no matter how big -- no matter how small. Please add your reasons why we must trust!
